VDub Sessions is my baby.
It was born about three years ago when I received a phone call on behalf of Fowler VW of Norman. They had just bought a 1977 VW van and were looking to collaborate with the newly reborn Spy FM. My brain immediately thought of the brilliant Black Cab Sessions and 100 episodes later we have an Okie sensation on our hands. It’s still a lot of fun to shoot and edit as it was on day one. I’m especially excited to be able to shoot bands who visit from out of town.
Kopecky Family Band is a great example.
Bands seem to have a lot of fun, and I think it’s a great incentive to people who want to try something a little different. VDub Sessions are never perfect but that’s what I love about them. For anything to come out of a moving music video set is a miracle, and I hope to be able to shoot 100 more sessions.
